Zoe Ball narrowly avoids accident after object smashes through windscreen
Zoe Ball thanks firefighters for attending house
Zoe Ball told listeners loads of junk smashed through her windscreen while she was driving.
During Wednesday’s episode of her self-titled breakfast show on BBC Radio 2, the radio DJ, 52, said she feared a third incident could take place while speaking with her colleague Richie Anderson.
“Richie, I was just wondering… do you think things come in threes?” she quizzed.
He replied: “I don’t know. What makes you say this?”
Zoe continued: “I had to have the fire brigade out on Monday. And then yesterday I was driving along and a lorry that was going the other way – carrying loads of junk – sort of came fast around the corner.

“Everything came off the top of the lorry and smashed into my windscreen and went under my wheels.
“I feel like the third thing is coming.”
Zoe recalled a similar incident taking place, as she went on: “This happened to my mum once where three things happened to her car.
“One was a firework that went through the soft top of her car and was burning inside the car. She was fine.

“Then a tree came down in front of her car and then a van crashed into her. She was fine and got rid of her ‘666’ number plate after that.”
Richie joked: “Right, let’s lock you in a panic room.”
Zoe’s admission comes after she detailed a terrifying ordeal which took place earlier this week when firefighters rushed to her house after she accidentally left a candle burning there when nobody was home.
“I had left a candle burning in the lounge,” she admitted, “I was so obsessed with The Matrix and the fact that I had made a cake on Sunday night, I had gone to bed and hadn’t blown out one of the candles.”
She continued: “It was left smouldering in the lounge and at 9.25am my smoke alarms went off and thank goodness… Because otherwise, I might have gone home to no home!”
Zoe then went on to thank her neighbours for raising the alarm and the fire department for putting out the candle.
“They stopped my house from burning down; they are absolute legends,” Zoe confirmed.
“I popped by to give them some cake yesterday to say thank you very much.”
Zoe also warned listeners to “check the batteries” on their smoke alarms and thanked the fire brigade once more.
