Alo and Harry Nuriev Hosted the Ultimate Recovery Lounge at Miami Art Basel

Alo’s vision is to help individuals reach their potential when it comes to fitness and wellness. In a second-year wellness partnership with Miami Art Week, the loungewear brand collaborated with artist Harry Nuriev and Crosby Studios to build a recovery lounge unlike any other.

Miami Art Week is always larger than life, and as it continues to draw bigger crowds, more spectacular artists and immersive exhibitions, it’s only fitting that Alo brought forth a mind and body recovery experience that is just as ambitious. New York and Paris-based artist Harry Nuriev shared his often experimental and awe-inspiring vision with Alo, bringing excitement to the activation, which kicked off with a party on December 6th.

“For me, health and wellness are part of my creative process, and in everything I do. When I was working on this project with Alo, it felt like an extension of me and my commitment to health and my own daily rituals,” Nuriev shared, “I have great passion for yoga, and am inspired by the building blocks of any yoga practice, which lift you from the ground, and elevate you.”1 of 7

In celebration of Art Basel Miami 2023 and the Alo X 01 Classicstreetwear-inspired recovery sneaker, Nuriev dreamed up the Alo Recovery Lounge. Through the Alosphere, visitors of Miami Art Week could recover fully after working and playing hard. Nuriev and Alo thought of all of the necessary elements to help attendees bounce back, including a stretch space with a custom smoothie bar, cold plunge baths, a water sommelier drip hydration station, shoulder and neck massages, and more.

In between engaging in relaxation stations, guests sipped on Casamigos cocktails and sustainable fare from 1Hotel. Revisiting the idea of playing hard, Nuriev and Alo even equipped the Alosphere with a massive 50-foot Alo X 01 Classic Bouncehouse, inspired by the bounce and cushion of the recovery sneaker, that could be seen from all corners of the 1 Hotel South Beach. “I was excited to connect fashion, wellness and art at such an important moment for artists and the artist community with Alo,” said Nuriev.
