Alpha Industries Opens First Permanent Retail Store
American heritage fashion brand Alpha Industries has officially opened up its first permanent retail store in Soho, New York City. The brick-and-mortar store comes after the brand’s successful pop-up in 2022.
Continuing to bring the story of Alpha Industries to its customers, the brands 1,700 square feet debut store reflects its deep ties to the American street culture. Situated on the fashion-centered location of Lafayette Street, it is located in a hub that includes art, music and fashion. 290 Lafayette Street is now the new home for Alpha Industries, previously housing other fashion staples like Triple Five Soul while also becoming neighbors with other streetwear mainstays like Supreme.
In a statement, Mike Cirker who is the CEO of Alpha Industries, “For 64 years, Alpha Industries has combined utility and style. Our new Alpha store in New York’s Soho district brings that purpose and utility to life. We are thrilled to invite the world into our house where people can touch, feel, and experience six decades worth of Alpha’s story.” Over the years Alpha Industries has developed a bond to the American consumers with its iconic MA-1 jacket originally deevloped for the U.S. Air Force in 1963. The physical store officially opened the doors to the public on October 14, just days before the label’s 64th anniversary. Aside from being a retail store, the location will also serve as a hub for exclusive brand events like customizations, brand gatherings and upcycling sessions.
