Apple's Rumored October iMac May Be On The Way…
Rumors of an October Apple release have been circulating for a minute, with the only palpable results thus far being an iPad Apple pencil. As the month winds down, Bloomberg reporter and Apple insider Mark Gurman revealed in his latest iteration of his Power On newsletter, that based on current retail supplies and slated shipping dates for certain models, an October Mac model appears to be in the works, potentially alongside handful of new MacBook Pros.
Gurman indicates that he was “told that Apple is planning a Mac-centered product launch around the end of this month,” pointing out that “Apple retail stores are in short supply of the iMac, as well as the 13-inch MacBook Pro and high-end MacBook Pro,” both models that Gurman also says “may be due for a refresh.”
The 24-inch M1 iMac, which launched in April 2021, has yet to see an update, and the same stands for the 13-inch M2 MacBook Pro, released in June 2022; if you try and order either of the models on Apple’s website, shipping estimates show delays until at least mid-November.
The models could debut as early as October 30, though we may be looking at an early November release date. Stay tuned to Hypebeast for more updates as they surface.
