First Look at the Air Jordan 38 "Year of the Dragon"

Across recent years, Jordan Brand has celebrated Chinese New Year with thematic looks. For 2022, it presented an expansive range of footwear and apparel for the Year of the Rabbit with the then newly-introduced Air Jordan 37 joined by classics such as the Air Jordan 1 Low OG. Looking to next year, the Jumpman team is revisiting its formula for the Year of the Dragon as a previously-revealed look on the Air Jordan 1 Low OG is now joined by one on the Air Jordan 38 which debuted as the latest entry in the Air Jordan series just two months ago.

A very brief preview of the Air Jordan 38 “Year of the Dragon” spotlights its thematic color arrangement that balances a rich red, jade green and sky blue across the sneaker. At the sockliner, a thematic stamp with the Jumpman is present in gold while the sneaker itself looks to maintain all of its court-ready capabilities, including the shoe’s new plate technology.

At the time of writing, Jordan Brand has yet to reveal any details pertaining to this Air Jordan 38 “Year of the Dragon” colorway and its accompanying collection of footwear. Look for additional silhouettes under the theme to appear in the coming months as we currently expect this sneaker to touch down on shelves starting January 24 via Nike SNKRS and select retailers at a price of $200 USD.
