G-SHOCK Joins Converse Japan for an All-Black All Star

G-SHOCK is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year and has not been holding back with its collaborations. Everything from League of Legends to Coca-Cola has seen G-SHOCK models carry thematic presentations. Now, the brand has linked up with Converse Japan to outfit the All Star in an all-black rendition of the shoe.

This time around, the upper utilizes a water-repellent Cordura fabric that emphasizes the utilitarian aesthetic crafted by the duo. It combines with G-SHOCK-themed notes such as the white “PROTECTION” text at the toe and G-SHOCK references at the tongue tag, sockliner and shoe box. A nod to the brand’s 40th anniversary is included at the medial badge in white G-SHOCK font while tonal All Star branding can be spotted at the heel of the midsole.

For those interested in picking up a pair of the G-SHOCK x Converse Japan All Stars, they’re set to become available via Converse Japan on October 24 at a price of ¥17,600 JPY (approx. $118 USD).
