G-SHOCK’s Full-Metal “Polychromatic Accents” Series Features Dusk-to-Dawn Color Gradients
Celebrating its 40th Anniversary, G-SHOCK is unleashing revamped designs of its most iconic series in limited-edition formats. Next in line is the “Polychromatic Accents” series, a full-metal collection adorned with gradient color accents and multicolor vapor deposition treatments. Two new analog-digital models, including the GM-B2100PC-1A and GM-B2100BPC-1A, are fashioned in the likeness of the eternally popular GA-2100 series, and the digital GMW-B5000PC-1 and GMW-B5000BPC-1 inherit the design language of the first-ever DW-5000C. Available in silver and black colorways, the models are replete with stainless steel componentry, offering a sleek, illuminated wrist look.
The series reinterprets the durability and functionality of its resin-reinforced predecessors in an upscale format. For starters, the GM-B2100PC-1A and GM-B2100BPC-1A showcase the GA-2100’s signature octagonal case design streamlined to 44.4mm wide and 12.8mm tall — a mere millimeter taller than its resin counterparts. The silver GM-B2100PC-1A is hit with a cool-toned indigo and magenta gradation, appearing across the hour markers, minute tracks and hands; the graphite-toned GM-B2100BPC-1A, by contrast, features fiery pops of orange and red.
The GMW-B5000PC-1 and GMW-B5000BPC-1 display an elegant vapor deposition, a prismatic color effect bordering the digital screen. Equipped with a Super Illuminator LED backlight, the blue-green gradient channels a chromatic sheen, even visible in broad daylight.
Across the collection, all four models are shock-resistant and solar-powered, including 200 meters of water resistance, a 1/100-second stopwatch, a countdown timer and five daily alarms. Smartphone Link functionality distinguishes the collection, allowing wearers to customize settings and access Bluetooth-enabled functions via G-SHOCK’s mobile app.
