James Fauntleroy Previews Debut Solo Album, 'The Warmest Winter Ever'

It’s been almost a decade since James Fauntleroy unveiled his Soundcloud-exclusive mixtapes — Warmest Winter Ever in 2014 and Warmest Winter Ever II in 2016. Fauntleroy is tapping back into his version of the holiday spirit, compiling a collection of songs released from 2014 up until now for his debut solo album, The Warmest Winter Ever; with a release date coming early next month, Fauntleroy has already began readying us for the project’s full-fledged release, unveiling eight new tracks today.

Fauntleroy dropped off the first eight songs earlier today – “Bad Bad Bad,” “Bring That Shit To Santa,” “Christmas List,” “Magic,” “Miracle,” “Mrs. Claus,” “Sleigh” and “Unwrapped.” “This project delves into the enchanting world of Christmas, and many aspects of this holiday, from embodying Santa Claus to becoming Santa’s helper,” Fauntleroy explains in a statement. “It presents a fresh perspective on holiday music.”

“All she do is sleigh, like Beyoncé,” Fauntleroy croons over 808s on “Sleigh,” while “Unwrapped” serves as an ode to “[unwrapping] all the bullshit.” Find the album’s 25-song tracklist below.
