Jonnie Irwin reveals 'frustration' as his terminal cancer is 'on the move'

Jonnie Irwin has revealed how ‘frustrated’ he feels amid his terminal cancer.

The A Place in the Sun presenter, 49, shared publicly last November that he didn’t know how long he had to live after a tumour in his lung spread to his brain.

Jonnie has since kept his followers in the loop with his treatment and the emotional milestones for his family as he makes the most of his final moments.

However, his three young sons – whom he shares with wife Jess – remain unaware of his illness as Jonnie didn’t want to ‘confuse’ them so, instead, he’s focused on creating memories.

Now, the property expert has given a frank update on how he’s dealing with the disease.

Taking to Instagram, the TV star shared a series of photos as he unwinded with some wellness therapies at one of his favourite clinics.

The photos included Jonnie lying down with a mask over his face, posing with the therapists at Serenti Health & Wellness, and a selfie taken outside where he is smiling.

He penned in his caption: ‘The wait for more scans is frustrating when you know the cancer is on the move again.

‘Meanwhile, there’s stuff I can do to make the terrain as tough as possible for growth and the ladies down at @sereniti_health are part of my team of suppliers for various therapies.’

‘I’d recommend this place to anyone wanting to tap into a healthier lifestyle,’ he added.

‘Big shout as always goes to @how_to_starve_cancer whose constant help has a huge impact. #respect’, Jonnie concluded.

As ever, Jonnie’s thousands of followers flocked to the comments to heap praise on him.

One follower commented: ‘never give up fighting! ❤️’

‘Love and light Jonnie. You got this 💪🏼’, wrote another.

‘Wishing you many happy days with your family, Jonnie x’, another said.

Jonnie’s post comes after he shared his health is declining.

The dad-of-three admitted he ‘hasn’t been feeling great’ over recent weeks, telling his followers he’s been ‘pretty unwell’.

However, he’s been taking every opportunity to mark important milestones with his kids, having returned home from a summer staycation with his adorable family.

Eldest Rex, four, started primary school this month, leaving Jonnie incredibly emotional.

Jonnie – who also has two-year-old twins Rafa and Cormac – shared the sweetest snap of Rex looking smart in his uniform, writing in the caption that he is ‘so proud of him I could burst.’

The Escape to the Country remains unsure how much time he has left with his loved ones.

But, he has already defied the odds as doctors previously didn’t think he would see in 2023.
