Luminox and Volition America Reveal Two Collaborative Watch Examples
Luminox, renowned for its deep ties to the U.S. military and for its designation as the go-to watch for celebrated adventures like Bear Grylls, has announced the release of two new additions to their watch collections – namely, the Thunder Grey Sea Turtle Giant and the Guardian P-38 LIGHTNING.
These timepieces come to life as the latest products of a partnership with Volition America, inspired by shared values of patriotism, strength and resilience, according to Luminox.
Taking a closer look at the Thunder Grey Sea Turtle, the watch represents a fresh entry to the 0320 Sea Turtle series and expresses a more modern styling. The watch features a a signature Volition camo pattern, grey dial and accenting yellow highlights that mark the dive indicator and second hand. Completing the watch’s design is a black CARBONOX case and bezel, enhancing its premium design.
As for The Guardian P-38 LIGHTNING, it takes a more traditional approach. Its design, inspired by the guards at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, is meant to express solemn reverence with its blue and gold color palette.
Notably, the sale of these collaborative watches also goes to benefit the Folds of Honor Foundation, an organization that provides scholarships to the families of fallen first responders and military personnel.
Functionality meets durability in both watches. Beyond design, both watches feature robust durability and functionality, boasting a water resistance of up to 100 feet and integration of Luminox’s signature light technology. This is meant to ensure that the watches remain visible in all lighting conditions for a duration of up to 25 years.
Both watches are available to purchase now via Luminox’s official site, with the Thunder Grey Sea Turtle retailing for $445 USD and The Guardian P-38 LIGHTNING for $695 USD.
