NEEDLES, BEAMS BOY and Timex Connect for a Violet-Hued Classic Digital Watch
In celebrating BEAMS BOY’s 25th anniversary, BEAMS is partnering with NEEDLES and Timex for a special watch collaboration that amalgamates each respective party’s signature aesthetics.
Modeled after Timex’s iconic Classic Digital reference, the watch is doused in NEEDLES’ signature purple hue. Arriving in a semi-transparent materiality from case to bracelet, the timepiece evokes a different mood when it’s hit by light sources.
NEEDLES’ emblematic butterfly motif can be spotted on the watch’s digital display, which is implemented with Timex’s patented Indiglo®️ technology. Turning over, “NEEDLES for BEAMS BOY” engraved lettering graces the caseback as proof of the collaboration. The butterfly motif is also featured as embossing on the watch’s packaging, which also comes in NEEDLES’ hallmarked color.
Retailing at ¥17,600 JPY (approximately $119 USD), the collaborative watch is now available for pre-order via BEAMS and is expected to be dispatched in October.
