New Balance Reveals GORE-TEX Integrated 2002RX Pack
First introduced in December of 2022, the New Balance 2002R with GORE-TEX treatment is now making a return in anticipation of wintery weather ahead.
These latest examples of the 2002RX are delivered in two different colorways, primarily a classic “Concrete” with “Harbor” and “Slate” gray accents and another a more subtle “White” with “Brighton Grey” and “Silver Metallic” accents.
Like the silhouette it gets its inspiration from, the classic 2002R, this GORE-TEX version features all of the same panel placements and exterior styling queues — however, at the interior, the updated pair is equipped with greater durability and utility through an inner membrane designed to guard against snow and rain.
While you’ll often see GORE-TEX branding more boldly presented or placed on shoes that are equipped with its tech, in this particular example, it takes a back seat, quite literally. The only noticeable “GORE-TEX” branding is at the heel of the shoes, appearing in small black lettering, although, it is assumed the branding is also featured on the insoles.
The two GORE-TEX integrated 2002RX examples will be available for purchase later today, September 22, via New Balance’s official site for a retail price of $180 USD each.
In related footwear news, New Balance gives the 610Xv1 “Raw Cashew” GORE-TEX treatment.
