Panerai Unveils Limited-Edition Luminor Chrono Flyback

Panerai has introduced its latest limited edition, the Luminor Chrono Flyback PAM01498. The timepiece, featuring a flyback complication, is set to have only 200 examples produced. Design elements of the watch act as a nod and celebration of the brand’s fusion of Italian design heritage and Swiss mechanical prowess.

The heart of this Chrono Flyback is the P.9100 calibre, an automatic movement that speaks to Panerai’s commitment to high performance and precision. Notably, the flyback function acts as a sophisticated feature that resets the chronograph instantaneously with the press of a button, offering ease of use for those wishing to track time in succession.

Encased in a 44mm ceramic case, the PAM01498 is both durable and elegant, boasting scratch-resistant qualities that cater to the demands of daily wear without compromising on style. The watch also features an open case-back that provides an inside look at the calibre’s complex mechanics.

Other notable design elements include a sun-brushed green dial that stands in vivid contrast against the black ceramic case. This striking dial is adorned with a sub-seconds dial and a nautical tachymeter scale, designed for yachting enthusiasts to measure speed over a set distance. As for utility, the watch features a water resistance of up to approximately 100 meters.

In addition to the Luminor Chrono Flyback PAM01498, Panerai is also releasing a more subtle PAM02319 Luminor Marina Milan Edition, limited to 319, a nod to the watchmaker’s new Milanese boutique at the center of Via Montenapoleone n. 19.

The Marina Milan Edition is set in a 44mm steel DLC case with a blue and black gradient sandwich dial — with white accents used to highlight hour markers, hands, date window and branding elements. Additionally, the PAM02319 is paired with a blue strap made of a material obtained from recycled PET designed to reduce environmental impact.

Both watches are boutique exclusives, with price and availability available upon request via Panerai’s official channels.
