Piaget Highlights Two Dazzling Black Tie Vintage Novelties
Piaget has highlighted two stunning Black Tie Vintage timepieces, one of which stars a tiger eye gemstone dial and is framed with an emerald-set bezel, while the other presents a mesmerizing malachite dial in a white gold case.
Crowned by its Maison as a “style icon,” the Black Tie model was first introduced in 1972. Characterized by a cushion silhouette, the timekeeper was accentuated with signature gadroons on its border. One of its most iconic iterations that caught the eye of Andy Warhol, came with an anthracite grey galvanic dial and a yellow gold case.
The Black Tie Vintage reference attired with a tiger eye dial is accentuated with custom-baguette-cut emeralds as hour markings and bezel inserts. As for the malachite dial edition, indices are omitted entirely, leaving only a Piaget logo and the hour and minute hands. Although minimal, the design allows ample room for the gemstone dial to shine, where its wearer can fully appreciate the detailed striations on the watch face.
Both pieces are available on a price-on-request basis via the Maison. For those who are interested, more details can be enquired on Piaget’s official website.
In other watch news, Chronoswiss’ Space Timer Black Hole depicts a wondrous and cosmic mood on its dial.
