In the video captioned ‘easy Halloween makeup hack using a fork,’ the TikToker holds up a fork and a red lipstick.
She rubs the lipstick onto the back of the prongs of the fork, about half way down, before taking it to her face.
The influencer gently presses and wipes the back of the fork against her cheek, creating the illusion that she’s been scratched.
It already looks realistic, but to make it more effective she takes a small paintbrush to smudge out the edges.
She also adds brown eyeshadow on top to add depth to the wound, as well as splattering some fake blood on there for added affect – not to worry if you don’t have fake blood, you can still achieve the look without it.
Viewers quickly took to the comments to praise the hack and tag their friends.
One user wrote ‘The fork is so smart,’ while others added ‘Best Halloween makeup’ and ‘I will try this for Halloween’.
Another makeup fanatic commented ‘tip: use some wax/gelatine/latex to give it some depth’ while a fan added ‘So good !!!! Keep the hacks coming’.
It comes after another beauty influencer shared her secret to creating the illusion of realistic fake blood, using just dry shampoo and red hairspray.
