The history of exit signs dates back to 1911, when 146 Manhattan garment factory workers were killed during a huge fire.
The blaze – and the deaths that is caused – prompted the National Fire Protection Association to come up with a way to quickly get people out of buildings in case of an emergency.
People flooded the comments sections of both Madison and Tom’s videos and shared their thoughts.
One person said: ‘Her videos show the centerpieces having huge open flame candles too!’
Another user said: ‘As an event producer this gives me hives.’
‘If I walk into a room and can’t see an exit I have a panic attack,’ someone else said.
‘How selfish! To not consider the safety of others. Just photoshop it out! It’s red and big for the visually impaired too,’ another user commented.
Someone else wrote: ‘She obviously doesn’t pay attention enough to the logistics of safety.’

Bridget previously praised The Plaza for allowing open flames, so that she didn’t have to put candles in hurricane holders.
According to Total Fire Protection, in New York City, all points of egress — including exits to the outside, hallways, stairwells, and doors leading to exits — must be clearly marked with an approved exit sign.’
‘When purchasing exit signs, it is important to understand that New York City has very specific design requirements,’ the website continues, noting that all approved exit signs must feature the word ‘exit’ in red letters.
‘The letters for the word “Exit” must be red in color and 8 inches tall, with a 1-inch stroke, or line width.
‘The sign itself, not including the letters, must be white, translucent, or aluminum (light grey) in color. For signs that are internally lit, the lighting must be red, not white, with a luminescence of at least 250 foot-lamberts.’
It is unclear whether Bridget was approved to cover up the exit signs at her reception.
