Jessica Mulroney has called for ‘truth and justice’ as she made an impassioned post about her Jewish faith after militant group Hamas unleashed surprise attacks on Israel this weekend.
The stylist, 43, took to Instagram as she shared a photo of herself at demonstration in Toronto, denouncing the attacks as she took a stand against anti-Semitism.
‘As a Jewish woman, I’ve enjoyed the relative safety of growing up and living in Canada,’ she penned.
‘However, I’ve felt the spectre of antisemitism around every corner. When a gunman shoots up a synagogue, there’s always a voice whispering “They had it coming.”
‘When white supremacists chant “Jews will not replace us”, those anti Jewish voices grow louder. And, two days ago, when Hamas terrorists killed more Jews in a single day than have been killed on any other day since the Holocaust, those voices of hatred reached a fever pitch.

‘Tonight in Mel Lastman Square, the Jewish people of Toronto, their leaders, friends and Allies said in one single voice, louder than any voice of hate: WE stand on the right side of history. WE stand for truth, WE stand for justice, WE stand with Israel.’
Jessica held an Israeli flag in the photo, looking at the camera amid a crowd of people gathered in the city.
It is not the first time Jessica has spoken out about her Jewish faith.
In 2020, she hit out at Kate Middleton fans who accused her of criticising the Duchess’ photos of Holocaust survivors.
Meghan Markle’s former best friend had released a statement on her Instagram saying she is a ‘proud Jewish woman’ with ‘family links’ to the Holocaust, calling critics ‘shameful and ‘uninformed’.
‘Pretty pictures are pretty pictures,’ she said. ‘Strive to use your platform for good and spread stories of incredible people striving to make this world a better place.’
What seemed like an innocuous comment was seized upon by some frenzied fans of Kate as a dig at then-Duchess, following the release of her portraits of Holocaust survivors.
Elsewhere, other A-listers, including Madonna, Natalie Portman and Ivanka Trump have also penned their support for Israel following the attacks on Saturday morning.

‘Love and prayers for the people of Israel,’ Ivanka, who converted to Judaism when she married her husband, Jared Kushner, an Orthodox Jew, in 2009, wrote in a post on her Instagram Story.
‘What is Happening in Israel is Devastating. Watching all of these families and especially children being herded, assaulted and murdered in the streets is Heartbreaking. Imagine if this was happening to you?? It’s Un-fathomable,’ Madonna wrote in a post alongside a video showing the timeline of the recent terror attacks.
‘Conflicts can never be resolved with violence. Unfortunately, Humanity does not understand this Universal truth. My heart goes out to Israel. To Families and Homes that have been destroyed. To children who are lost. To Innocent Victims who have Been Killed. Let us all Pray. For Israel. For Peace,’ the legendary singer added.
Israeli-born Oscar-winner Natalie Portman wrote that her ‘heart is shattered for the people of Israel.’

‘Children, women and the elderly have been murdered and abducted from their own homes. I am in horror at these barbaric acts and my heart is pounding with love and prayer for the families of all affected,’ Portman, who disabled comments on her post, added.
Harrowing pictures of bruised and bloodied children fleeing from hellfire in Gaza and Israel show the devastating impact of the conflict which has killed over 1,500 people in just three days.
Hamas leaders last night threatened to execute civilian hostages if Israel continues its retaliatory airstrikes against Gaza.
The military wing of the Islamist group said it would kill a captive any time homes were hit ‘without prior warning’.
Israel has been pounding Gaza from the air after Hamas launched a surprise terror attack on Saturday, killing more than 900 people and seizing about 130 more.
Authorities in Gaza said Israel’s airstrikes had hit a refugee camp, a hospital and mosques, and had killed 687 people and injured a further 2,900.
As the bloody conflict enters its fourth day, shocking photos from the ground provide a horrifying insight into the atrocities taking place as both sides continue to trade blows and lives, with innocent children and civilians caught in the middle.
Desperate parents have been pictured cradling their children as they run through war-torn areas in search of medical assistance.
Other photos show bruised children receiving medical aid in hospitals, while young kids have been seen looking lost as they navigate through the rubble and clamber through the billowing smoke to safety.
Images too harrowing to publish show heartbroken parents carrying the bodies of innocent children who have lost their lives at a tragically young age during the conflict.
Heartbroken parents have also had to bury their innocent children who have no role in the bloody violence.
ISRAEL PALESTINE CONFLICT TIMELINE
The Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas launched its biggest assault on Israel in years early on Saturday, firing a barrage of rockets from Gaza and sending fighters across the border.
Israel said it was on a war footing and began its own strikes against Hamas targets in Gaza, with Israeli media reporting gunbattles between bands of Palestinian fighters and security forces in southern Israel.
The following timeline, which begins with Israel’s 2005 withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, details the major flare-ups in the conflict between Israel and Palestinian groups in the crowded coastal enclave, which is home to 2.3 million people.
August 2005 – Israeli forces unilaterally withdraw from Gaza 38 years after capturing it from Egypt in the Middle East war, abandoning settlements and leaving the enclave under the control of the Palestinian Authority.
Jan. 25, 2006 – The Islamist group Hamas wins a majority of seats in a Palestinian legislative election. Israel and the U.S. cut off aid to Palestinians because Hamas refuses to renounce violence and recognise Israel.
June 25, 2006 – Hamas militants capture Israeli army conscript Gilad Shalit in a cross-border raid from Gaza, prompting Israeli air strikes and incursions. Shalit is finally freed more than five years later in a prisoner exchange.
June 14, 2007 – Hamas takes over Gaza in a brief civil war, ousting Fatah forces loyal to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, who is based in the West Bank.
Dec. 27, 2008 – Israel launches a 22-day military offensive in Gaza after Palestinians fire rockets at the southern Israeli town of Sderot. About 1,400 Palestinians and 13 Israelis are reported killed before a ceasefire is agreed.
Nov. 14, 2012 – Israel kills Hamas’s military chief of staff, Ahmad Jabari. Eight days of Palestinian militant rocket fire and Israeli air strikes follow.
July-August 2014 – The kidnap and killing of three Israeli teenagers by Hamas leads to a seven-week war in which more than 2,100 Palestinians are reported killed in Gaza and 73 Israelis are reported dead, 67 of them military.
March 2018 – Palestinian protests begin at Gazaâs fenced border with Israel. Israeli troops open fire to keep protestors back. More than 170 Palestinians are reported killed in several months of protests, which also prompt fighting between Hamas and Israeli forces.
May 2021 – After weeks of tension during the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan, hundreds of Palestinians are wounded in clashes with Israeli security forces at the Al Aqsa compound in Jerusalem, Islamâs third holiest site.
After demanding Israel withdraw security forces from the compound, Hamas unleashes a barrage of rockets from Gaza into Israel. Israel hits back with air strikes on Gaza. Fighting goes on for 11 days, killing at least 250 people in Gaza and 13 in Israel.
Aug 2022 – At least 44 people, including 15 children, are killed in three days of violence that begin when Israeli air strikes hit a senior Islamic Jihad commander.
Israel says the strikes were a pre-emptive operation against an imminent attack by the Iranian-backed militant movement, targeting commanders and arms depots. In response, Islamic Jihad fires more than 1,000 rockets towards Israel. Israel’s Iron Dome air defence system prevents any serious damage or casualties.
Jan 2023 – Islamic Jihad in Gaza fires two rockets towards Israel after Israeli troops raid a refugee camp and kill seven Palestinian gunmen and two civilians. The rockets set off alarms in Israeli communities near the border but cause no casualties. Israel responds with air strikes on Gaza.
Oct 2023 – Hamas launches the biggest attack on Israel in years from the Gaza Strip, with a surprise assault combining gunmen crossing the border with a heavy barrage of rockets. Islamic Jihad says its fighters have joined the attack.
Israel’s military said it was on a war footing, adding it had carried out strikes targeting Hamas in Gaza and had called up reservists.
