Queen Margrethe of Denmark appeared elated as she enjoyed an eventful day of Summer activities today.
The 83-year-old monarch visited Vordingborg Municipality in Denmark, as part of her luxurious Summer cruise, which included a stop at Haarboelle dairy farm and a carriage ride through the city.
The Danish Queen appeared delighted while greeting the Mayor of Vordingborg Mikael Smed, as they strolled through Kornerup Town Hall, also in Vordingborg.
She made various stops during the royal visit, including a special one to greet fans and receive flowers from adoring children.
The action-packed parade forms part of the queen’s Summer cruise on the Royal Yacht Dannebrog – and she looked splendidly elegant while doing so.

For the event, the mother-of-two donned a navy blue blazer and matching hat, which she teamed with a white midi skirt and loafers.
She accessorised the look with a white leather strap bag, a white and blue printed scarf and white gloves.
Her face bore a delicate glow, which she glammed up with a bold pink lip, flower-shaped earrings and a neatly styled bun.
Royal fans lapped up her presence, while some took in the chance to photograph the queen with their phones.
The queen’s summer break comes after a difficult year for her family, which was at loggerheads when the monarch announced she was stripping her youngest son Prince Joachim’s children of their princely titles.
The family has since resolved its dispute, however Prince Joachim has announced he will be moving to Washington, US, in August to take up a post at the Danish Embassy to the USA.
Last September, the Danish Royal Palace announced that Prince Joachim’s four children Nikolai and Felix – born from his first marriage – and Henrik and Athena, would no longer be princes and princess, and instead would be counts and countess.
Explaining her decision, the Queen said the new titles would allow her four grandchildren from her second son to live more normal lives.
The royal made various stops during the official visit, including a special one to receive flowers from adoring children. Here, she is pictured alongside the mayor of Vordingborg Municipality, Mikael Smed

At the time, Prince Joachim publicly spoke out against his mother’s decision – claiming that his children had been ‘harmed’ in the process.
Since then, the family has put on a united front, with the Queen and Prince Joachim having worked out their differences.
In April, Prince Joachim and his children joined with his brother and heir apparent, Crown Prince Frederik and his family, to appear with their mother on the balcony of the Royal Palace to celebrate her 83rd birthday.
The Prince has also announced in recent months that he is heading to the US with his family to take up a post in the Danish Embassy in Washington DC.
His post is expected to begin later this Summer.
