Yahoo Mail down updates — Hundreds report issues with mail accounts amid login issues following major outage | The Sun
YAHOO Mail customers have been left furious this morning after hundreds reported issues with logging in.
According to DownDetector, over 600 users have reported issues with the e-mail service.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one user said: "#yahoomail yahoo mail not working same issue as mentioned on here about connection error."
Yahoo is aware of the ongoing issues affecting customers this morning.
Writing on X, a spokesperson said: “Some users may be experiencing issues with Yahoo Mail. We are investigating and will update you as needed. Thank you for your patience.”

According to DownDetector, there are now just over 50 users reporting issues with the site.

When have there been Yahoo outages before?
There have been other reported Yahoo outages in the past including:
- July 2021: Yahoo’s mail service was reported down at about 3:30pm for about two hours.
- February 2021: Users reported problems both in Yahoo’s app and site.
- January 2021: Over 55 percent of people were unable to login into their email or read their mail.
- September 2020: Users had trouble logging in to the platform, with the most reports at 7pm.
Issues begin to drop
Issues with Yahoo Mail are starting to drop.
There are now just under 700 reports of issues according to DownDetector.

Those who may be experiencing difficulties with Yahoo can check another social media app, such as X or Facebook for reports.
If you don't have an X account, Down Detector will tell users when the apps are down or experiencing difficulties.
If it appears the problem may not be widespread, try checking the internet connection on your device or exiting the app before logging back in.

Yahoo's search engine is up and running.
But on Friday, November 3, 2023, Yahoo Mail users were met with error messages instead of their usual inboxes.
According to a number of users, the error reads: "Upstream connect error or disconnect/reset before headers. reset reason: connection termination."

Over 30% of users have also reported issues with logins.
