Rebecca Adlington has announced the tragic stillbirth of her baby daughter Harper.
The Olympian posted a message on Instagram on Sunday (22 October) telling fans that there wasn't a heartbeat when she went for her latest scan and that she'd lost her baby. "I don't really have the words right now but unfortunately we went for our 20 week scan this week and they found no heartbeat," she said.
"I gave birth to our angel, Harper on Friday at 7pm. We held her, and had time with her. We will forever love her and remember her always."

Rebecca, 34, is already mum to two-year-old son Albie with her husband Andy Parsons. And she shares eight-year-old daughter Summer with her ex Harry Needs.
In September she announced that she was expecting again, around a year after suffering a miscarriage. The star shared a snap from a family trip to Disneyland that showed her children with their hands on her tummy. "Our own bit of magic, baby number 3 on the way," she captioned the sweet shot.
Fans posted condolences on Instagram after the star's message. "Words fall short – I am so sorry for your loss, may your littlest spark rest in peace," said one person.
"Sending you all of our love, we are thinking of you," said another. "If only that were enough. I’m so deeply sorry and am thinking of you both and of precious beautiful Harper."
Posting a broken hearted emoji, another of Rebecca's followers said: "This is so heartbreaking for you all. I know myself there are no words for you. Be kind to yourself and seek support in those loved ones close to you."
Last year Rebecca told fans of her heartbreak after the miscarriage, which was discovered when she went for a 12-week scan. The star, who had emergency surgery afterwards, said on Instagram: "It's such a devastating time but important in times like these we remember we aren't alone and have so much support."
Thanking her family and friends, she said at the time: "We haven’t managed to process it all yet but I know with their support we’ll get through it."
