Laurence Fox leaks texts with Dan Wootton as he protests GB News suspension
Laurence Fox has leaked text messages between him and Dan Wootton after he was suspended from GB News.
Former actor and right-wing commentator Fox was taken off the air on Wednesday (September 27) after immense backlash to comments he made on Dan's show the night before. In the chat, Laurence called female journalist Ava Evans a "little woman" and asked "who would jump into bed" with her.
Evans, a journalist for online publication JOE, posted the clip onto her Twitter page, saying she felt "physically sick" at what she heard. Appearing on Jeremy Vine's show on Channel 5 on Wednesday morning, she admitted she was "speechless because I don't know what to say".

In the wake of the debacle, GB News formally suspended the former Lewis actor from its programming, saying his comments went against the company's values. Dan Wootton issued two apologies to Ava, adding that his laughter in the interview was down to "shock and surprise" to what he was hearing.
Following his suspension from GB News, Fox insisted he stood by his comments. He then posted a screenshot of messages between him and host Dan, making light of the situation.
Laurence reposted the apologies of Dan's second, lengthier apology where Wootton branded his reaction to Fox's comments as "inappropriate". Whilst reposting the apology, he attached a copy of the texts, where Fox began: "Making you giggle is my weekly joy," followed by two laughing emojis.
Dan supposedly responded to this with three laughing emojis himself. He then follows this with: "You can imagine them freaking out in the gallery!!!!!!"
Laurence replies to Dan with a simple message: "So much fun xx." Captioning the post, Laurence called out Dan as he wrote: "Honesty is the best policy."
Dan is yet to respond to Laurence's claims. However, Twitter users flooded to the comments to berate the pair for making fun of a female journalist.
One user wrote in regard to the feud: "This is golden. Not only has Fox ruined what was literally left of his career but he is taking down Wootton with him! Excellent stuff." This was echoed by another account, who replied: "The bins taking themselves out. Delicious."
Other users questioned whether the other person included in the text messages was Wootton, as many argued Fox had not provided conclusive evidence. Some fans believed the friendship between the pair would be cut as a result of this.
