Love Island’s Liberty Poole thrives after ‘life-changing’ knifepoint ordeal
Liberty Poole has come leaps and bounds since she appeared on the seventh series Love Island back in 2021.
And it appears as though she isn’t showing any signs of slowing down, as her career continues to blossom.
Most recently, the blonde beauty announced the launch of her body-positive podcast Second Skin and another podcast show titled Kaz & Lib The Podcast, with her close friend and co-star Kaz Kamwi.

As the TV personality celebrates her 24th birthday with a bang, Daily Star has taken a look back at one of her most terrifying ordeals in the last year.
Back in May last year, Liberty and Kaz revealed they were held at knifepoint during their Los Angeles holiday.
The ITV alumni were left terrified when a 40-year-old woman targeted them as they headed out to a party.
Moments later, two men jumped to their defence and apprehended the attacker while a passerby called the police.
The incident was understood to have occurred when the girls got out of their car in the “wrong part of the neighbourhood.”
A source told The Sun: “Out of the blue, this woman appeared with a knife and threatened them.
“Liberty and Kaz were obviously shocked and terrified – especially because guns are legal in the US.
“But fortunately for them, two men who had been walking past came to their rescue and called the police.
Luckily, the pair walked away unscathed and followed up with the police who helped bring their attack to justice.
But their horrifying experience wasn’t enough to dull Liberty’s shine, who explained how the “life-changing” moment helped her to realise “life’s too short.”
Months later, the star recalled the “terrifying” moment on Vicky Pattison’s The Secret To podcast, adding that the woman became “really aggressive” when she approached them while they had their phones out, filming the views around them.
She told listeners: “Obviously, that was a hard experience with Kaz but I'm quite a resilient person and I always try and see the positive and I think that, at the moment in time, that was obviously that was scary, because we were just videoing the street and this woman literally came out of nowhere and started getting really aggressive.
“She was getting more and more aggressive and coming closer and closer and closer and it wasn’t until the knife dropped on the floor that I thought, ‘We’re in a situation here’.

“It was terrifying, but I feel like a lot of good came out of that situation because when you’re in a hard situation like that where it’s life-threatening, it puts things into a lot of perspective, and I think from that I've learnt life’s short.”
And it’s fair to say that the horrifying ordeal has only given her the strength to put all of her energy into her career which has continued to blossom since then.
