Noel Gallagher fined and handed driving ban despite never learning to drive
Oasis star Noel Gallagher has been hit with a hefty fine and banned from driving for six months – despite never learning to drive.
The 56-year old, who revealed he had split from wife Sara MacDonald earlier this year, was issued the ban after twice failing to provide information regarding who was driving his Range Rover Autobiography when it was caught speeding.
It follows a previous prosecution last year after the £80,000 motor sped through West London.

Then, despite having no licence, Wonderwall songwriter Noel's vehicle was clocked travelling at 41mph on a 30mph stretch of the A40.
The Rock 'N' Roll Star was subsequently ordered to pay a £742 fine and awarded six penalty points, leading his driver, Alan Neeson, to admit to Willesden Magistrates' Court that he had in fact been behind the wheel at the time.
With regards to the latest offence, meanwhile, Noel claimed he hadn't been made aware of any letters by his team.
However, he admitted two counts of failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver on Wednesday (September 6) in a letter to Lavender Hill Magistrates' Court, which led to the ban.
Noel was duly given 12 penalty points on top of his existing six and handed a £1,340 fine for the offences, including costs of £110 and a victim surcharge of £536.
The court heard how a letter was sent to to his home in January requesting the driver's identity, before a second letter was posted a month later due to the failure to respond.
In a letter written to court, Noel explained: "I did not personally receive the notice or the reminder and neither were brought to my attention by my staff.
"I have a team who assist me with my business and personal matters, which includes correspondence to my home address. I acknowledge my responsibility to safeguard against important correspondence not being replied to."
This limited time promotion also comes just in time for new premieres from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic and more. These include FX’s Welcome To Wrexham S2 (13 September) and The Kardashians S4 (28 September)
Starting September 6 through September 20, new and returning customers in the UK can subscribe to Disney+ for £1.99/month for three months – an £18 saving compared to the regular monthly price for three months
£1.99 per month for three months

He continued: "Once my management team notified me of receipt of this letter, I identified my willingness to comply. I am content with the court to proceed in my absence. Please note, I am currently working abroad."
Noel previously revealed he quit learning to drive after a single lesson in Oasis' 1990's heyday.
He said: "The woman who gave me the lesson… I was driving round a housing estate in Slough [Berkshire] and she said to me, ‘Pull in here’. I pulled over and she got out the car. She said, ‘I’ll be back in a minute’ and she came out with her mum. She’d driven me to her house and her mum was taking a picture of me in the street in Slough."
