Russell Brand has been questioned by police over alleged historical sex offences.
The comedian, 48, visited a police station in South London on Thursday (November 16). The Met Police confirmed a man in his late forties was in attendance. He was interviewed under caution.
A spokesperson for The Met told Daily Star: "A man in his 40s attended a police station in South London on Thursday 16 November 2023. He was interviewed under caution by detectives in relation to three non-recent sexual offences. Enquiries continue.”

Brand was previously accused of rape, sexual assault and emotional abuse at the height of his fame – allegations which he has denied. Channel 4’s Dispatches, The Times and The Sunday Times published the claims on September 16 and 17.
Four women came forward with claims of incidents taking place between 2006 and 2013 at the height of Brand's fame. However, it is unclear as to whether his questioning with officers is in relation to the allegations made in the documentary.
Detective Superintendent Andy Furphy, leading the inquiry, previously said: “We continue to encourage anyone who believes they may have been a victim of a sexual offence, no matter how long ago it was, to contact us.

“We understand it can feel like a difficult step to take, and I want to reassure that we have a team of specialist officers available to advise and support.” After the recent allegations hit the headlines, Russell issued a lengthy statement denying the claims online.
He said: “What I seriously refute are these very, very serious criminal allegations. Also, it’s worth mentioning that there are witnesses whose evidence directly contradicts the narrative that these two mainstream media outlets are trying to construct, apparently, in what seems to me to be a coordinated attack.
“Now, I don’t wanna get into this any further because of the serious nature of the allegations, but I feel like I'm being attacked and plainly they’re working very closely together. We are obviously going to look into this matter ‘cause it’s very, very serious.”
Daily Star has reached out to Russell Brand for comment. The Met Police have also been contacted for comment.
