Rylan confirms mum is coming home in private jet and makes cheeky dig over cost

Rylan Clark and his mum Linda have headed home after her horror fall during their holiday abroad.

The much-loved presenter, 34, revealed this week that Linda, 71, suffered a "bad fall" while the pair were in Marbella.

Linda, who has appeared on Celebrity Gogglebox alongside her son, needed surgery following the accident.

A few days later, Rylan shared a snap of his mum in hospital with her leg strapped up and her right arm in a sling.

And now, Rylan has issued another update to fans, revealing they were heading home following the eventful trip.

Taking to his Instagram on Thursday (September 7) Rylan shared a slew of snaps showing his mum being wheeled onto a private jet via a stretcher.

In the caption, he penned: “She might have broke an arm and a leg but she’s cost me an arm and a leg! LINDAS COMING HOME!!

“Massive thank you to the amazing team and surgeons at Helicopteros Sanitarios. Thanks for looking after my mum x.”

Rylan’s fans and showbiz pals were quick to send their support to the TV star and his mum.

One follower said: “What a lovely son you are. Everything is easier at home. Speedy recovery Linda.”

Someone else gushed: “Amazing news. What a son you are!”

Ruth Langsford said: “Fantastic news! Safe journey home,” while Claire Sweeney gushed: “Ah she’s worth it.”

Rylan's update comes after he was forced to pull out of presenting on BBC Radio 2 to be by his mum's side after her fall.

Sharing a statement on Instagram, the former This Morning presenter wrote: "So unfortunately I took my mum away on her first holiday in a good few years and sadly she's had quite a bad fall, resulting in her having to have surgery out there.

He continued: "She's not in the best health with her other conditions and this has made it more complicated. My priority at the moment is my mum.

Cheers to scott for covering me at radio 2 and Thanks to the people out there that have sent their well wishes."

The Eurovision star signed off the post by saying: "Praying for a successful surgery and a quick recovery. Will update you on mummy Linda as and when I can x."

The former Big Brother star has previously opened up about his mum's various health battles, revealing he has cameras set up around her home so he can keep an eye on her when he's away.

Linda has a "severe" case of Chrohn's disease and has had to have multiple operations because of it.

Rylan also revealed in 2021 that Linda had been diagnosed with skin cancer – but thankfully it wasn't life-threatening.
