Strictly head judge Shirley Ballas shares racy dance routine she does when tipsy

Saucy Strictly judge Shirley Ballas has revealed she loves to pole dance after a few drinks.

The dancer, who replaced the late Len Goodman as head judge on the BBC show in 2017, said she doesn’t hit the town too often but she admitted when she did let her hair down she was always the first one up shaking her stuff on a table.

Shirley, 63, who is currently dating toyboy dancer Danny Taylor, said: "On the rare occasions that I do go out, I like to go to an eighties club, and I’d have to take two days off after it as it would be one of the few times I have a drink and let my hair down.

"If '’m around friends and family and feel like I’m in a safe space, then I’d probably be the one up on the pole dancing or the one up on the table." Shirley revealed her off-screen life is every bit as racy as the characters in her new sex and sequins page turner Murder On The Dance Floor'.

She added: "The character loosely based on me has a mad passionate love affair with a sexy guy called Xavier and once you’ve read it, all I’ll say is that you’ll need a cold bucket of water next to you. People ask is my real life as passionate as the lives of the characters in my book? I’d say absolutely, yes.

"I’m a very passionate person and I’d say that 80% of what you read in the book is true. I’m 63-years-old and I’ve lived in an industry where I’ve suffered from bullying, backstabbing and being taken advantage of, but you’ll have to make up your own mind, which bits are fiction and which bits aren’t. Let’s just say that when it comes to the most sensuous scenes, trust me, they will make your hair curl."
