Coronation Street’s Stu loses custody of Eliza after horror car crash

Coronation Street: Ryan Connor considers online sex work

Coronation Street’s Stu Carpenter (played by Bill Fellows) could be set to lose guardianship of Eliza Woodrow (Savannah Kunyo) as she is involved in a hit-and-run accident.

In upcoming scenes, Eliza is stood up by her father Dom Everett (Darren Morfitt) once again.

Stu tries to cheer her up and offers to take her to see her mother Bridget Woodrow (Beth Vyse) but Eliza is uninterested.

Fed up with Eliza’s attitude towards Stu and her keen attitude to thinking her dad is better than him, Stu loses his temper and points out that if her dad cared about her at all, he wouldn’t continually let her down.

Upset, Eliza darts out of the car and across the road, but she is soon knocked down by another car and left in agony on the floor.

As the driver speeds away, Stu rushes to Eliza who clutches her arm and immediately takes her to the hospital.

After getting her arm assessed and bandaged up, Stu is forced to call Dom who arrives with a huge teddy.

As Dom turns up, he and Stu are quick to trade insults but Stu is quickly cut off when Eliza asks him to leave.

Back at home, Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) assures Stu that Eliza will eventually see her Dad for who he is and when that happens, he’ll be there to pick up the pieces.

When Eliza returns home, she reveals that she wants to go and live with her Dad, leaving Stu in shock and Dom doing his best to cover his shock.

Will Stu be able to let Eliza go and let her make a decision for himself? Or will he fight for custody and drag Dom through the courts?

Since being acquitted of murder and striking up a relationship with Yasmeen Metcalfe (Shelley King) Stu has been happy and living a quiet life.

When he first became Eliza’s guardian, he was thrilled to be able to mend their relationship and do what was best for his daughter Bridget who is in prison serving time for murder.

As Eliza settled into her new life with Stu and Yasmeen, she became more vocal about her opinions and how she felt Stu smothers her.

Since getting in contact with her father, Eliza has become more disobedient and rebellious when it comes to Stu’s parenting of her.

Will Eliza moving in with Dom push Stu over the edge and feel like he has failed once again? How will Bridget feel when she finds out Eliza is living with Dom?

Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8pm on ITV.
