GMB fans in tears as Tony Bellew makes first TV appearance with Nigel Farage
GMB: Tony Bellew explains how mentally ‘difficult’ the jungle is
Good Morning Britain fans were left ‘in tears’ after Tony Bellew made his first television appearance since coming second on last night’s I’m A Celebrity final. The 41-year-old appeared live via a video link from Australia as he joined hosts Susanna Reid and Ed Balls on the ITV morning programme.
The boxer spoke about the moment his wife Rachel surprised him in the jungle as he got sentimental about his time on the show. He said: “When Rachel appeared in the jungle[surprise family visit for contestants], it took me by complete surprise.
“It just broke me for a good ten minutes. I wanted to walk out and leave with her but she told me to stay but it broke my heart. If I would have walked out a little bit such a disappointment because the kids would have seen me quit and they have never seen me quit anything. Rach said they want you to go all the way so OK I was staying.
“I can’t put into words, It is hard to explain to people how hard it was in there at times, but we got through it.” Fans were left emotional by Tony’s appearance as they took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their thoughts.
One fan gushed: “B****y hell this interview with Tony has me in tears!,” while another viewer added: “Tony Bellew top man #gmb.”
