How many previous Married at First Sight couples are still together? – The Sun | The Sun
MUCH to the delight of fans, Married At First Sight UK is returning to screens once more.
Although most couples tend to split after the show, the series has created some long-lasting relationships – here’s everything you need to know.
Which Married At First Sight UK couples are still together?
Series one
Emma and James
Emma and James, who were the first-ever couple to walk down the aisle, ended their marriage 34 weeks after the wedding.
The reason for their divorce was that they weren't sexually attracted to each other.
Kate and Jason
Kate and Jason went through with their wedding.
However, the pair split just days after Jason was caught using the dating app Tinder.
Sam and Jack
This couple didn't even go through with their wedding.
Sam's family pressured her to back out and the pair ended up dating away from the show but split within four months.
Series two
Lucie and Steve
After agreeing to give it a go, Lucie and Steve split after six weeks together.
Following their split the pair were believed to have remained friends.
Melissa and Clark
The pair went through with their wedding and moved in together, with Clark quitting his bachelor pad and living with Melissa at her home in London.
However, they didn't stay together and split after just five months.
Sara and Adam
Sara and Adam lasted a year together – even though they had a huge fight on camera after Adam got drunk on their honeymoon.
They moved in together, but got divorced after 12 months due to lack of chemistry.
Caroline and Adam
Like many of the couples, Caroline and Adam also split.
Despite living together and purchasing a pet Rabbit the pair split after one year.
Series three
Stephanie and Ben
Stephanie and Ben had instant chemistry, and both thought they'd found their perfect match when they walked down the aisle.
They enjoyed a passionate honeymoon, but things turned sour when they got back home and they struggled to live together.
Just one week after the show ended, Ben revealed that he had left Steph and that he had already moved on.
Harriet and Richard
Scientifically, Harriet and Richard seemed to be the strongest match – but like many Married At First Sight UK couples, it wasn't meant to be.
Richard tried his best to win Harriet over, but she couldn't feel the spark.
In the series finale, the pair opted for divorce after sleeping in separate bedrooms, just a week into living as a couple.
Series Four
Jonathan and Stephanie
As the popular show returned for a fourth season, Steph and Johnathan were the first pair to walk down the aisle.
However, things did not work out for the couple.
The Sun exclusively revealed how they split up just days after tying the knot.
Jack and Verity
Despite earlier reservations, Verity and Jack got on well and decided to stay married – despite never getting sexual.
However, it wasn't meant to be when Jack pulled out of the marriage six weeks later, leaving Verity heartbroken.
Series five
Michelle and Owen
Season five couple Michelle and Owen managed to make their marriage work away from the cameras.
The couple, who wed in March 2020, are believed to be residing in Sheffield.
The fan-favourite pair are also reportedly set to become parents this winter.
Shareen and David
Shareen and David made MAFS history – being the oldest couple to ever be matched on the show.
The couple seemed to have potential in the beginning, but just 48 hours into their marriage the cracks began to show.
During their honeymoon, Shareen wasn't happy with his tattoos and survival kit containing massage oil, burning scents, and 30 condoms.
The couple split after the show.
Series six
Nikita and Ant
Nikita and Ant were one of the first couples to tie the knot in season 6 of Married At First Sight UK – however, the pair didn't end their journey together.
It was revealed that Married at First Sight UK star Nikita had been removed from the show for "unacceptable aggression" off camera, putting an end to hers and Ant's time on the show.
Ant then re-entered the process with Alexis, but that didn't work out either.
Megan and Bob
Megan and Bob had what only could be described as a rocky journey on the show – after Megan admitted she wasn't attracted to Bob.
However, despite her doubts – Megan stuck out the experiment.
But their relationship was rocked to the core when news of Megan's Affair with fellow MAFS star Jordon, who she shared a kiss with came to light – resulting in the pair calling it quits.
Morag and Luke
Morag and Luke didn't hit it off on their wedding day – after Morag admitted Luke wasn't her usual type and that she disliked his clothes.
Things later appeared good between the newlyweds – until Luke dropped the L-bomb and Morag unfortunately didn't feel the same way.
By the time the reunion show had aired, Morag and Luke had called it quits.
Dan and Matt
Dan and Matt made history as the show's first-ever same-sex couple.
Their only marital issue was the distance between them both – with Dan living in Ireland and Matt living in Leeds.
But despite the thousands of miles between them, the pair decided to remain together.
In 2022, the couple sadly announced that they had split.
Tayah and Adam
Tayah and Adam can only be described as the most loved-up couple from series six.
Both during the show and after the couple have gone from strength to strength.
The pair are now parents to a baby girl who was born in October 2022.
Series seven
Chanita and Jordan
When Chanita walked down the aisle to find Jordan waiting for her – they seemed like a match made in heaven.
Throughout the experiment, they were the strongest, loved-up couple, and only had a few wobbles.
But sadly it wasn't meant to be – and their split was the biggest shock of the series.
They revealed in the reunion show, that they weren't able to make it work outside of the experiment, and had parted ways.
Whitney and Duka
This marriage was doomed from the start when Whitney was accused of being "bridezilla" when she eye-rolled her way through their wedding.
Whitney made it clear she was NOT happy with being paired with Duka.
According to reports, Duka is now dating again.
Thomas and Adrian
Much like the last couple, these two had a very rocky start to their marriage.
With mild-mannered Adrian and the OTT Thomas, it wasn't exactly a match made in heaven.
Despite their differences, they almost made it to the end, despite the fact they clearly didn't fancy each other in any way.
Thomas became more known for kicking off at the dinner parties than his relationship with Adrian.
But having said all that, and despite not finding love, they both admitted in the reunion show to being friends.
April and George
These two were the surprise couple of the series and on the reunion show said they were STILL together.
April and George seemed an obvious match from the start, but both had to face their trust issues.
They also faced a huge backlash both from the public AND their fellow couples.
There are conflicting reports as to whether they are actually still together or not.
Jess and Pjay
Jess and Pjay left the experiment before it had even really started.
Despite being instantly attracted to her hunky groom at the alter, as soon as Jess found out Pjay was a stripper, it was game over.
They hung in there for one commitment ceremony, before leaving the show for good.
Lara and Richie
Lara and Richie had an OK start to their marriage, but cracks began to appear very soon.
MAFS UK fans were left cringing when their awkward relationship crumbled on screen.
In an exclusive interview with The Sun, Lara claimed that behind the scenes Richie threw her "under the bus", showed her "barely any romantic interest", and only seemed concerned about "getting famous".
Kasia and Kwame
These two went quite far in the show and only split just before the final vows.
Their relationship began to struggle when Kwame refused to show Kasia his home during the homestays.
They have not spoken to each other since the show and had a heated exchange at the reunion dinner party, where Kasia said she did not "feel respected" by Kwame.

Zoe and Jenna
Another couple to make MAFS UK history were Zoe and Jenna.
Despite a slight rocky start, where they clashed over Jenna's vegan lifestyle, these two are still going strong.
Gemma and Matt
When viewers were introduced to Gemma and Matt, they seemed like a match made in tattoo heaven.
But after their initial attraction to each other, things took a very quick turn when Gemma kept making dirty jokes at their wedding reception.
Despite Matt asking her not to, she couldn't help herself from making naughty innuendos, and the damage was done.
They split after Matt went looking elsewhere for romance, which wasn't the best way to handle things and left Gemma devastated.
Sophie and Jonathan
Like Gemma and Matt, this pair entered the experiment later than the other couples.
They had a very up and down marriage, which was was made worst by Jonathan constantly putting his foot in his mouth with his bizarre comments.
Despite renewing their vows, by the reunion show they had split for good.
Matt and Whitney
Matt and Whitney re-entered the experiment as a new couple after they split from the people they were originally matched with.
Despite telling everyone they were "in love" they didn't make the distance and split as soon as the cameras stopped rolling.
