Made In Chelsea star Sam Thompson set to star on this year’s I’m A Celebrity
Made in Chelsea star Sam Thompson is reportedly set to take part in the new series of I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here.
It comes as the star’s famous Love Island star girlfriend, Zara McDermott, is currently taking part in Strictly Come Dancing.
A source told The Sun how another stint on reality TV for the couple could turn them into "superstars."
Sam is reportedly planning to fly Down Under for the series later this year, as Zara continues to set her sights on taking home the Glitterball Trophy with her dance partner Graziano Di Prima.
The insider claimed: "Sam is a great signing because he has a huge fan base and a funny, self-deprecating personality. It will be difficult if Zara is still on Strictly as she will be too busy to head out to the jungle to support him.
"While it might put a bit of pressure on their relationship, it’s a huge year for them."
Sam rose to fame after joining the popular E4 reality show in 2013 and has since gone on to present E4’s Reality News with The Only Way Is Essex star Pete Wicks.
Retired jockey Frankie Dettori, This Morning presenter Josie Gibson, former EastEnders actress Danielle Harold, and rapper Flava Flav are among those rumored to be joining the I’m A Celeb line-up.
ITV say they won't comment on any speculation.
It comes as the show’s presenters, Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, gave fans a first glimpse of the new series, teasing a new five-star jungle retreat.
In images released on Thursday, 19 October, the TV legends are both pictured wearing what appears to be matching hotel staff uniforms, with Ant holding a broom in one hand.
They are both pulling cheeky-looking grins as they stand in front of a jungle backdrop. In another picture, the duo appears to be writing 'Get Me Out of Here' on a white sandy beach, with a crystal-clear blue sea on one side of the beach and a jungle on the other.
Though the exact start date is yet to be revealed, it is understood that the brand new series will air during its usual slot at the end of November.
ITV's official Twitter account also shared the video, along with the caption: "Get ready to go down under… The Jungle Retreat awaits."
Fans were quick to point out the show is often more of a ‘hell’ for celebrities than it is a ‘retreat.’
One person commented: 'SO EXCITED,' while another added: 'A retreat? More like a Jungle Hell-House.'
A third penned: 'I'M A CELEBBBB!!!!! Must be nearly Christmas and my birthday,' while another added: 'It’s coming back. Who will be our new campmates?'"
