Top Boy star opens up on ‘unfilmable’ role outside of Netflix series
Top Boy: Season 3 official trailer on Netflix
Fans of Netflix’s hit series Top Boy will be seeing actress Jasmine Jobson in a new light as she takes on the role of Lisa in a new thriller.
Platform 7, which will air on ITVX at the start of December, will follow the journey of Lisa who is stuck at the station where she died.
Across the four-part series, viewers will see the character try to solve the mystery surrounding her death.
However, not remembering who she once was, her fragmented memory starts to return to reveal chilling truths.
Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk and other media publications, the Netflix star spoke about what attracted her to the role.

Jasmine said: “For me, at first it had to be the supernatural bit!
“There’s something about being a spirit and being around people without their knowledge but being able to play about with them when you’ve irritated you.
“It’s something about the haunting, that I was like, ‘You know what, I love it!’. So, that was the main hook for me, it was about the haunting side of things.”
“When it came down to the actual script, I haven’t played anybody like Lisa before.

“For me, it was very much about trying something new and then just playing a character that I haven’t before.”
However, Louise Doughty, who wrote the book that the series has been adapted from, had her doubts about the ITV show when it was first pitched.
She confessed: “When it first got optioned, I thought, ‘Oh sweet, bless it’s never nice but they’re not going to be able to pull this one off.’
“To me, as a novelist, it felt almost unfilmable because, for the first third of the book, the main character doesn’t interact with anybody else because she’s a ghost, she’s dead and she can’t speak to anyone.
“So I just couldn’t see how they were going to do it but props to them, they’ve pulled it off.”
As Jasmine’s character has little interaction with people due to her being a ghost, the actress revealed it was odd having to act like a fly on the wall in scenes.
She continued: “I had to get used to not having anything to say, I’m not used to not having anything to say.
“ I love the sound of my own voice so not having anything to say was a bit of a shock! It was a lot of fun, it was definitely a lot of fun.”
Platform 7 streams exclusively on ITVX from Thursday, December 7.
