Cher's 'DJ Play A Christmas Song' Tops Billboard's Adult Contemporary Chart
Cher‘s “DJ Play A Christmas Song” has topped Billboard‘s Adult Contemporary radio airplay chart dated December 9.
The single surged by 31% in plays in the November 24-30 tracking week, according to Luminate.
“DJ Play a Christmas Song” is Cher’s first Adult Contemporary No. 1 since “If I Could Turn Back Time,” which led for a week in September 1989.
A week earlier, “DJ Play a Christmas Song” topped the Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales chart, earning Cher visits to No. 1 on Billboard song surveys in every decade since the 1960s.
“DJ Play a Christmas Song” is the lead single from Cher’s 2023 album Christmas. The song was produced by Mark Taylor, with lyrics written by Sarah Hudson, Jessie Saint John, Brett McLaughlin, James Abrahart, Mark Schick and Lionel Crasta.
