Helen Flanagan not speaking to ex Scott Sinclair with three kids left upset by split
Helen Flanagan has revealed she's "not speaking" to her ex-fiancé Scott Sinclair following their "very raw" split which left their three kids "upset".
The Coronation Street star, 33, and the footballer, 34, parted ways in July last year after being together for 13 years. They share three children, Matilda, seven, Delilah, five, and Charlie, two, but now only speak to each other through their parents.
Speaking to The Sun, Helen revealed: "I love Scott and I know that he loves me, but I suppose we just don't like each other very much at the moment. We don't really speak and there's no point in pretending that we're the best of friends when we're not".
The 33 year old went on to describe her ex as a "good guy" but confessed he "wasn't very good" with his emotions, something that contributed to their split. Helen also told the publication that her post-natal depression after having their son Charlie in 2021 also put a strain on their relationship.
She said: "Maybe I wasn't the easiest person to live with – neither was he! – but there were a lot of factors that led to the end of the relationship. It wasn't just one thing". Following their split, the mum of three said how it had affected their children, with Matilda questioning her parents "'compatible".
"She has been upset and I've always told her she's got every right to feel how she feels, and that I'm always here for her and we'd work things through", Helen shared.
It comes just a month after the soap star is thought to have taken a swipe at her ex-fiancé in a cryptic Instagram post. Helen posted a quote to her story, seemingly referring to the relief of never getting a tattoo of his name.
The quote read: "Whenever I’m having a bad day I just stop and remind myself at least I don’t have my ex’s name tattooed on my body".
Earlier this month, Helen was spotted leaving Sexy Fish in Manchester with a "hot new man" after they left a venue together at 1am. The mystery man was revealed to be Amar Ali who is reportedly a well-known bar boss from Manchester.
They were spotted leaving the venue before they gave each other a hug and went their separate ways. Helen's evening out followed shortly after her daughter Matilda appeared to confirm she was back on the dating scene in an adorable TikTok video.
Matilda revealed in the video: "My mum's going on a date with someone tomorrow and I think she said he's very hot." A blushing Helen replied: "Do you like the look of him? I think he looks quite nice." Matilda then replied: "But you think he's really hot."
Helen admitted to being nervous about the date, saying: "Yeah I know but Matilda I'm a bit nervous actually because I don't know him."
