James Corden has reportedly landed a new job back in the US months after making his emotional exit from the Late Late Show in April.
The 45-year-old had famously spent eight years as host of the talk show and allegedly opted to leave on his own accord after a slew of minor scandals, claiming he wanted to spend more time with his wife, Julia, and their three young children as he feared missing their childhood.
However, just months after the Cordens relocated back to James’ home country, crafting their dream house, the Hollywood star is said to kickstarting a new career back in the USA.
According to the Daily Mail, James will be utilising his chat show skills for SiruisXM’s new show This Life of Mine.
The presenter’s start in radio will reportedly see him chatting with the “world’s biggest stars” every week looking at the milestone life moments that shaped the lies of his guests.
This Life of Mine is reportedly set to begin next year, giving the presenter a few more months of family time and solitude.
Scott Greenstein, president and chief content officer of SiriusXM, told the outlet that the station is “honoured” to be welcoming “a trailblazer in the entertainment business” to their team.
James in turn added that he was “thrilled” to be joining the iconic star-studded lineup of hosts on SiriusXM, saying it is his “dream” role.
Just before making his Late Late Show exit in April, James appeared on Drew Barrymore’s own talk show admitting it was far more difficult to make the decision to leave than it may have appeared: “Nothing about leaving the show was to do with not enjoying it. I love it.”

The news of James’ career change also comes just days after his CBS replacement was announced last week.
With a late-night gap in the channel’s station, a new show titled After Midnight has been revealed with comedians X Mayo, writer Ricky Velez and comic Taylor Tomlinson making the final three.
Following a recent screen test, 30-year-old Taylor came out victorious and will be hosting the show, which is said to be like a reboot of Comedy Central’s Midnight which ended in 2017.
After Midnight is set to hit screens early next year.
