Joe Jonas has sensationally hit back at Sophie Turner’s bombshell lawsuit and insisted he did not “abduct” their two children.
The Game Of Thrones actress filed a lawsuit in New York today to secure “the immediate return of children wrongfully removed or wrongfully retained.”
Sophie made a number of shock claims, including that Jonas is withholding the kids’ passports and that she only found out he had filed for divorce “through the media”.
However, Joe has now fired back at his estranged wife in a lengthy statement given to TMZ by his representatives.
It begins by claiming that Joe initiated divorce proceedings in Florida and that Sophie was fully aware that he was filing for divorce, which goes against what she ha said.

They then allegedly had a “cordial meeting” in New York on Sunday, after Sophie flew there to be with the kids.
“Joe’s impression of the meeting was that they had reached an understanding that they would work together towards and amicable co-parenting setup.
“Less than 24 hours later, Sophie advised that she wanted to take the children permanently to the UK. Thereafter, she demanded via this filing that Joe hand over the children’s passports so that she could take them out of the country immediately.”
Joe’s reps say that if he did comply with that request he would be in violation of the Florida Court order.
