Kelsey Parker opens up about surprise romance 18 months after husband Toms tragic death

Following the tragic death of her husband Tom Parker last year, Kelsey Parker has confirmed she's dating a new man, Sean, who she says has been a "new lease of life" for her.

Kelsey, 33, admitted she hadn't been expecting to meet anyone new following The Wanted star Tom's death in March 2022, but she formed a connection with Sean after meeting at a friend's wedding in Greece last year.

The pair split five months later but have since rekindled their romance after bumping into each other at another mutual pal's nuptials in south London.

“He brings me so much joy and laughter. Sean was a real new lease of life for me," mum-of-two Kelsey gushed.

She admitted her new romance "came as a shock" but praised Sean and branded him "incredible" in a new interview with the Mirror.

“I wasn’t looking for anything when we met and it came as a shock to me but we just genuinely got on and the relationship progressed. He’s such a good guy and it’s quite hard for him to walk into this situation, not a lot of men could do that and feel comfortable with it," Kelsey said.

Kelsey tragically lost her Wanted singer husband Tom Parker in March 2022 following a two-year battle against a rare type of brain tumour. Tom was first diagnosed with a brain tumour in 2020, where he was told that it was inoperable. Despite chemotherapy and 30 radiotherapy sessions, Tom died from glioblastoma cancer with Kelsey at his side last year.

Kelsey and Tom married in 2018 and shared children Aurelia, three, and Bodhi, two.

Speaking about her boyfriend's bond with her two young children, Kelsey added: “We could sit there and talk about Tom, and Sean’s been incredible. My friends and family have been amazing and I couldn’t have done this without them but there’s only so many times you can go, ‘Can you come over. I’m feeling really lonely.’

"Sean will never replace Tom because Tom is irreplaceable to me but it’s having that person to talk to and share your day with."

She went on say they're "taking things slow" and "enjoying each other's company" before sweetly saying Sean brings her "so much joy and laughter".

Kelsey's update comes ahead of the release of her new autobiography, Kelsey Parker: With And Without You, which will see her open up about her time with Tom and his tragic death.
