Kerry Katona faces Christmas without kids Molly and Lilly

Kerry Katona has shared that it won't be such a full house this Christmas, as eldest daughters Molly, 22, and Lilly-Sue, 20, won't be home for the big day.

The mother-of-five, 43, shares the two girls with Westlife star Brian McFadden, and has revealed that Lilly will be heading over to her dad's – only an hour or so away – to enjoy lunch as her grandparents will be visiting from Ireland.

Taking to her exclusive column, Kerry explained: "Christmas this year is a little bit different because Molly and Lilly won’t be with me for dinner. When we’re not all together, it does get me down a little bit, but I am still looking forward to it."

While Molly is busy working, Lilly will be waking up and going to bed at mum Kerry's house, but slipping out for the day to see dad Brian and his partner Danielle Parkinson.

There will still be plenty of festive fun in the Katona household, with Kerry's other children Heidi, 16, and Max, 15, who she shares with ex-husband Mark Croft, and nine-year-old DJ all at home – alongside fiancé Ryan.

She continued in the column: "Ryan and I have got DJ, Max and Heidi with us so it’ll be fun just the five of us. I want everyone to get dressed up. Lilly is waking up with us in the morning and then going to her dad’s for dinner, before coming back to me for the evening.

"Her boyfriend is going to come too. Christmas Day is all about the kids and seeing their faces when they open their presents. Normally, the older girls help me with the cooking, but DJ can peel the potatoes and Max is a good help too."

After beginning their romance in 1999, Kerry married ex Brian in 2002, but the pair went on to divorce in 2006. Since the split, their relationship has been rocky.

Kerry went on to marry taxi driver Mark Croft a year later, before divorcing in 2011. She then met late husband George Kay, who passed away in 2019, and has finally found her happily ever after with fiancé Ryan.

While she and Brian have mainly steered clear of one another, the singer does see his two children often and has maintained a relationship – with the the former couple even reuniting in 2022 for daughter Molly's 21st birthday party.
