Peter Andre’s error that revealed pregnancy weeks earlier than planned
Peter Andre is set to be a dad for a fifth time, announcing his wife Emily's pregnancy news via a sweet social media post in October.
While the whole family are thrilled with the news, one of the former pop star's children found out that they would be getting a younger sibling slightly earlier than planned, after Peter made a slip up.
Peter, 50, and Emily, 36, share kids Theo, seven, and Amelia, nine, already, while he is also father to Junior, 18, and Princess, 16.
Talking exclusively with OK! about how the family learned of their new sibling, he explained: "The plan was to keep the pregnancy a secret from the kids until Emily passed the three-month mark, but as with all best-laid plans, it didn’t quite work out that way.

“I was really excited to tell the kids, but we decided it was sensible to wait in case something went wrong — we couldn’t face delivering bad news."
Slipping up with the news, Peter continued that Junior was the first to know.
“Then one day, without thinking, I asked Junior to pick up a prescription from the pharmacy for Emily, and he rang me and said, ‘Dad, I’ve got to tick a box saying if she’s pregnant or not.’
"What could I do? So Junior found out a little earlier, but that really wasn’t the plan!”
Peter and Emily shared their pregnancy news to Instagram earlier this year, surprising fans as they wrote: "We are delighted to share the news with you all. A new addition to our family in 2024 The kids are so excited, So are we."
Upon telling their children the good news, Emily and Peter also revealed the pregnancy to the latter's dad, Savvas, in Australia. However, they delayed telling Peter’s mum Thea, 86, who has been diagnosed with vascular dementia and Parkinson’s disease.
He emotionally told OK!: “I waited to tell my mum for the same reason — I didn’t want to risk later having to break bad news. Heaven forbid if something went wrong, it would have really hurt my mama,”
However, Thea knows the news now and couldn't be happier to be a grandparent once again. “She’s always been so strong as a person, so to all of a sudden see her not so strong is hard. But she’s so thrilled and asks every day about the bump," said Peter.
“We are such a close family and seeing them decline like that is very difficult. They’ve been married 68 years now. It’s unbelievable, they’re a real inspiration.”
