MTV Europe Music Awards cancelled amid ‘security concerns’ with Israel-Hamas war

The MTV Europe Music Awards has been cancelled due to security fears following the devastating and ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict.

The annual music event was due to be held in Paris on November 5 and is one of the industry's biggest award ceremonies.

A source revealed to the Daily Mail: "It's with a heavy heart that it is being called off due to safety concerns and the ongoing conflict."

Last years ceremony was held in Duesseldorf, Germany, with Rita Ora and her husband taking on the hosting duties. 2023 was scheduled to be the first time the EMA's was going to be held in Paris for 28 years.
