Phillip Schofield mysteriously removes photos of himself and Holly Willoughby from his Instagram

Phillip Schofield has mysteriously removed a number of photographs of himself and Holly Willoughby from his Instagram account.

The presenter had previously posted pictures of himself with his former colleague and best friend hosting This Morning and even on holiday in Portugal together.

Now all his two million followers can see is one photo taken from a distance in the This Morning studio. But, Schofield, 61, who resigned from ITV, still has pictures of himself with other former co-stars Alison Hammond and Josie Gibson.

One television insider said: ‘Holly and Phil used to post pictures together for fun, they were huge parts of one another’s lives and they loved to show their viewers how close they are.

‘The fact that Phil appears to have removed them from his page is very telling about how he feels about Holly. He seems to have moved on for good now, and is trying to leave Holly behind.’

Meanwhile, the findings of a probe into the scandal that engulfed ITV, and claims of toxic working culture, are due to be announced in the next fortnight.

After Schofield admitted to lying to the MoS about having an affair with a much younger This Morning runner behind his wife Stephanie Lowe’s back in May, Ms Willoughby issued a statement to say she had no idea about the relationship.

She also said she asked Schofield when she had heard rumours of their romance but he told her they weren’t true.

Bosses are said to be ‘concerned’ at what might come out of the inquiry, headed by top London barrister Jane Mulcahy KC.
