Rebekah Vardy sparks unlikely friendship with Love Island star in cosy snap

Rebekah Vardy has been thrust into the spotlight once again as last year's infamous 'Wagatha Christie' trial and her feud with fellow WAG Coleen Rooney has been brought back to light in a new Disney+ docuseries.

But the 41-year-old footballer's wife, who shares five children with her husband Jamie Vardy, is seemingly ignoring it and instead, has taken the opportunity to gush over her unlikely friendship with a Love Island star.

Rebekah took to Instagram to express her love for former Islander Amber Wise, the daughter of football legend Dennis Wise, as she shared a glam selfie of the two of them with her 404,000 followers.

Rebekah and Amber, who rose to fame when she appeared as a Casa Amor bombshell in this year's Love Island, looked as glamorous as ever as they cosied together for a stunning selfie.

The mum-of-five looked happy and carefree as she flashed her dazzling pearly whites for the camera while ex Islander Amber perfected a soft smile for the shot.

Rebekah looked glowing as she wore her hair swept back away from her face and accessoried her look with jewellery while Amber wore her glossy brunette locks in a sleek style and opted for simple makeup.

Rebekah posted the snap alongside the caption: "I [heart emoji] you xxx."

Then Amber commented on the post, replying: "love uuu," with red heart emojis.

This isn't the first time the pair have been pictured together. Back in August, the Vardy's joined Dennis Wise and his family for an evening out in Portugal.

Amber joined Rebekah – and her children – as well as her mum, dad and brother George.

Rebekah posted the snap on Instagram and called the Wise's their "extended family" in a sweet caption.

Rebekah and Amber's selfie comes just days after the infamous 'Wagatha Christie ' trial, which saw Coleen Rooney accuse Rebekah of leaking personal stories about her to the press, thrust back in the spotlight.

The three-part series that premiered on Disney+ tells the story behind the social media post in which Coleen claimed that Rebekah was leaking information about her to The Sun newspaper.

When asked if she hoped Rebekah would watch the show, Coleen said: "That's up to her."

As Coleen's statements from the "real story" of the Wagatha Christie court trial have been circling online, fans have been waiting to see if Rebekah would address the new documentary.

And in a seemingly pointed story, the star hinted that she's not bothered by the furore, instead enjoying her trip as she broke her silence for the first time since the docu release with some holiday snaps.

Posting a snap of the kids sticking out their tongues and giggling away with lemonade lollipops in their hands, the proud mum shared: "Living their best lives."

She then shared another snap of herself wearing a pair of oversized aviator sunglasses and a tropical snake print pink halter neck bikini top. The reality TV star added: "As am I," alongside a laughter emoji and two champagne glasses.
