The Holiday actor Rufus Sewell, 56, is engaged as girlfriend, 26, flashes huge sparkler

The Holiday actor Rufus Sewell has announced his engagement to girlfriend Vivian Benitez.

Rufus, 56, who played Jasper in the hit Christmas film, is set to tie the knot with actress Vivian, 26, after proposing to her with an incredible diamond ring.

Vivian, who has starred in Arsenal, Criminal Minds and Sky Dancers Grown Up, showed off her sparkler in an Instagram photo and penned: "Til death, (or him continuing to walk on bathmats with his outside shoes) do us part."

The bride-to-be looked overjoyed in the photograph as she held up her hand to the camera, while Rufus planted a kiss on her cheek.

Vivian had shared photos taken in Rome the day before announcing her engagement to Rufus, so it is thought that the actor popped the question while in Italy.

Dozens of Vivian's followers flocked to congratulate the couple in the comments. One person said: "I love you guys so much! so excited for this new chapter for you two".

"You are soooo good together this makes my heart sing, We have a wedding to plan!" another said, while a third follower commented: "Congratulations to both of you," with a red heart emoji.

A fourth person wrote: "Oh my goodness!! The best couple. Congratulations you two, so much love to you both!"

Rufus and Vivian tend to keep their relationship private and have been dating for around five years.
