An Ogre-Inspired 'Shrek' x Crocs Classic Clog Is Coming
Back in 2001, Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy and DreamWorks came together to launch the beloved Shrek franchise. The decades since have seen its universe grow as a fifth installment in the Shrek series is reportedly in the works. Adding to the excitement, Crocs has cooked up a new collaboration with Shrek, offering its Classic Clog as the canvas for an ogre-themed pair.
Drawing from none other than the antisocial ogre himself, the head of Shrek has been recreated with nose and ear attachments found at the upper, replacing the typical Jibbitz that are present on the slip-on. His signature slime green coats the upper with speckled texturing added as well. As for the strap, it takes on a brown fur finish that nods to Shrek’s typical attire, with the franchise’s “S” logo at the connection point. Rounding out the eye-catching pair, a Shrek label adorns the footbed.
At the time of writing, Crocs has yet to officially announce its latest project with the Shrek franchise. However, this Classic Clog is expected to touch down on shelves this month via Crocs and select retailers at a price of $60 USD.
Stay tuned for updates and for more of the latest from the world of footwear, Montreal-based design studio JJJJound is continuing to expand its massive roster of footwear collaborators by teaming up with Crocs on a co-branded, all-white pair of the Classic Clog.
