Isabel Marant SS24 Is a Feast for the Senses
Parisian label Isabel Marant has closed day four of Paris Fashion Week with an expansive showcase at Place Colette. Once entered, you were hit with a sensory feast, walking through uneven stumps before opening the gates to a white runway illuminated in blue. Isabel Marant’s Spring/Summer 2024 collection was no different, delivering 55 looks packed with textural overload.
First, a blond-haired model hit the runway in a petite lace dress layered beneath a classic trench coat, continuing the collection with utilitarian styles pocketed and folded at the waist. Cutout bodysuits were sensual and revealing, while smooth leather popped in fiery red hues across curved jackets and miniature bottoms. Patchwork polo shirts featured dangling strands to manipulate their shape, seeing Marant’s bohemian identity appear on graphic dresses and catsuits.
Embroidered denim was baggy in all the right places, while ribbed tank tops and utility shorts were destined for thrilling summer activities. For the evening, geometric outlines punctured lace shirting and single-shoulder tops, succeeded by Canadian tuxedos with mystical details. The final seven looks were ready to party, seeing fringed metallics grasp the spotlight with pleasure in mind.
