JSP and MLS' Philadelphia Union Present Proud "Keeper" Collab

Jimmy Gorecki‘s JSP and the Philadelphia Union of MLS have come together for a proud “Keeper” collaboration that salutes the Union’s loyal fanbase and Philly’s longstanding status as a skateboarding hotbed. “Countries like Brazil, Italy and France have the best footballers, great fashion and, a lot of the time, the best skaters,” said Gorecki “[With this collection], we wanted to establish that intersection for Philadelphia, which in my eyes, has always had the best skaters — no disrespect, but way better fashion that other major cities in the States — and a longtime love of soccer.”

To achieve that goal, JSP took its signature made-in-the-USA fleece sweatshirts, sweatpants “slacker” pants and tees, produced by its sister company Standard Issue Tees, and dressed them in the Union’s color scheme plus team-specific graphics. “Doop,” the unique phrase Union fans chant whenever the team scores a goal, is printed on the back of hoodies and tees, while the Union’s snake crest and team wordmarks are interspersed with JSP branding across the collection (Gorecki calls the “slacker pants” the “sickest ones we’ve ever done”). To lock in the correlation between skate and soccer, Gorecki also produced a skate deck and tapped pro skater Mark Suciu, who has a long history with the City of Brotherly Love, to skate a custom Union box for the collection’s lookbook, which also features Union players and longtime Philadelphia 76ers team photographer Alex Subers.

The JSP x Philadelphia Union collection is available now via the JSP webstore and the Union’s pro shop. Prices range from $35-$130 USD.
