Massena LAB and Sylvain Pinaud Reveal the Intricately Chronograph Monopoussoir

After releasing a collaborative Uni-Race 1949 with Revolution, Massena LAB now taps artisan horologer, Sylvain Pinaud for an ultra-limited timepiece: the Chronograph Monopoussoir.

Encased in a 42 mm-sized titanium case that’s paired with a polished bezel and grained lugs that provide enhanced visual contrast, the timepiece stars a stunning and unique openworked dial.

Dominating the upper half of the dial is a hand-frosted and hand-beveled broad plate. A subdial display is perched on the 12 o’clock mark and emblazoned with Sylvain Pinaud’s logo. On the lower half of the dial sits a 45-minute counter, and a small seconds indicator, all on top of the chronograph’s exposed gears and bridges. Accentuating the intricate watch face are steel chronograph and counter hands in a bright blue hue.

The manual-winding movement features a single pusher column-wheel chronograph, which is geared with a horizontal clutch. Despite its complex and prestigious finishing, the timepiece is actually capable of withstanding up to 30 meters underwater and can run for 45 hours continuously when fully wound.

Limited to 10 examples, the collaborative Chronograph Monopoussoir is now open for price inquiries via Massena LAB’s official website. It’s also available for viewing at Geneva Watch Days on an appointment basis, until September 2, 2023.

In case you missed it, URWERK presents an otherworldly UR-100V that’s set with 400 diamonds.
