Patta Puts a Dutch Spin on the Danner Light Boots
Dutch streetwear boutique Patta and storied American footwear label Danner have joined forces for a collaborative take on the latter brand’s signature Danner Light Boots.
Hailing from Portland, Oregon, Danner has cemented its distinct design language over the course of the last century, beginning with a mission to create the “best boots loggers had ever known” in 1932 and expanding into a renowned heritage label with a bounty of signature product. Among its most popular designs, the Danner Light first met the world in 1979, and it was lauded for its waterproofing and GORE-TEX finish.
Today, Patta’s taken an artful approach to the Danner Light, with a suede upper, 3M-printed Cordura panels and a Danner-embossed logo tongue. Enlarged Patta lettering commands burgundy and forest green panels across either side of the silhouette, and yellow-tinged boot laces line the center of the shoe.
“Danner’s commitment to superior craftsmanship has been a tradition carried forward with each pair of boots they build,” Patta said in a stament. “The collaboration harmonizes two worlds — the spirit of Danner’s heritage and Patta’s authentic style, with a nod to the early 2000s hip-hop aesthetic, resulting in a reimagined Patta Danner Light.”
The Patta Danner Light will launch on December 15, 2023, on Patta’s webstore and in the brand’s Amsterdam, London and Milan storefronts. It’ll then arrive on Danner’s site just a few days after on December 18. The boot is priced at €490 EUR. Take a closer look at the design in the gallery above.
