Most Brits would say they know a lot about the UK, but do you know more than the average person who lives in England, Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland?

A quizmaster has challenged people to answer eight questions to reveal if their knowledge of the United Kingdom is above average.

The puzzler who goes by @mahanlankarani on TikTok, posts regular videos testing his viewers.

In a recent video that’s been seen by over 1.6 million people, he put Brits to the test on what they know about their home.

The quizmaster claims you need to get at least six out of the eight questions correct to have a higher than average general knowledge of the UK – take the quiz below to find out how you rank.

7.  How many of Henry VIII’s wives were beheaded?

8. What is the longest river in the UK?

Quizzers took to the comments to share how they did, with a few of the questions throwing lots of people off.

One user argued ‘the second is wrong, the king lives in clarence house. buckingham palace is his office,’ to which another replied ‘2 is correct as it the official residence of the reigning Monarch, not literally where he lives, like the queen never lived at buck house’.

Someone else who was confused by the King Charles question added ‘Isn’t Charles technically living in Clarence House rn cause of renovations going on to the living quarters at Buckingham Palace?’

Others commented ‘2/8 as a British person,’ ‘Me saying wales for number 3 forgetting NI exists’ and ‘Horrible histories really came in clutch for that Henry VIII question’.

It’s not just Brits putting their knowledge to the test, one American viewer shared their score: ‘tell me why i got 5/8 of these correct as an american and i got 6/8 for the usa version of this video?’

Other users said ‘8/8 I don’t get how people are getting below that?’ and ‘all but Shakespeare question…. guess I don’t listen on history/English’.
