  • Andrew Lloyd Webber has had almost countless shows hit West End theatres over the years, but few have made an impact quite like Starlight Express.

The iconic 1984 British musical about steam engines opened in the Apollo Victoria Theatre in London, before eventually moving to Broadway.

2024 will mark a new revival for the legendary production, with performances beginning on June 8, 2024.

This London production has been “specially designed” with a purpose-built Starlight Auditorium at the Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre where a cast of 40 will be taking over the stage like never before.

Sir Andrew himself is ecstatic by the news of the new production and said: “I am thrilled that Starlight Express will be powering down the tracks again. The world’s first truly immersive musical will this time be an experience like no other.”

In addition to this, he surprisingly added: “Watch out for the big new plot twist and you will discover why steam power is the future of the railway.”
