Two bedroom bungalow could be yours for just 50p – but there's a tiny catch | The Sun

IF you're looking to get on the property ladder, it doesn't come much cheaper than spending some loose change in your wallet.

An auction in Wales is set to see a two-bedroom home go for just 50p.

The house has views across a Welsh valley and great indoor-outdoor flow, but the abode is too dangerous to enter.

The derelict bungalow is part of a pair of homes set to hit auction in the town of Crumlin, all for a £1 opening bid.

Crumlin is a 40-minute drive northeast of Cardiff tucked into the beautiful Ebbw River valley.

Tuesday's auction could be the redevelopment opportunity of the year – but you'll need to clean away the unruly foliage first.

The tired brick-coloured corrugated iron home has a collapsed ceiling, cracked walls, and plants growing inside.

Sean Roper, from Paul Fosh Auctions, said no internal inspection of the properties has been made due to their current condition.

Roper said: "The two tin bungalows are currently in a poor state of repair. However they do occupy an elevated position with views across the valley and do offer scope for improvement.

"The bungalows in their current state need some work but they may well be able to be renovated for Airbnb-type use or to be refurbished and rented out.

"Alternatively the plot of land that they are on may offer the possibility for alternative development such as the construction of a detached dwelling, subject, of course, to necessary planning consents.

"Bungalow one is believed to contain an entrance, lounge, kitchen WC and two bedrooms while the second property has a lounge, bedroom and kitchen area. There is land to the sides, rear and front, with a parking area."

The buildings' location is nestled into a hillside and could prove tricky for a redevelopment opportunity with the angle of the land.

But, for such a cheap price it could be worth the challenge.
